The Artifact mission is also our passion: to advance the art of furniture in design, execution and functionality. Conceptualized by nationally renowned designer, Gregory Clark, Artifact Design Group blends old world techniques with state-of-the-art methods and luxurious, exciting materials to produce its signature Formal-Contemporary™ style. Characterized by clean lines, each piece is the one-of-a-kind expression of nature brought to life by artists contributing in their own area of mastery. Artisan Methods
The artisan methods employed in the creation of our designs date back thousands of years, including mortise and tenon joinery, which produces one of the strongest joints in woodworking. Our designs are a combination of solid woods—providing strength to frames, legs and other supporting components—and beautifully grained veneers chosen for their distinctive character. Frequently, our clients hand select their own grain patterns. In appreciation of the roots that give life to our medium, all of our wood is purchased from sustainable resources, and we use only low-VOC finishes.

Exotic Materials
The exotic materials of each piece are integrated naturally, giving rise to Formal-Contemporary™ clean lines. Our designs showcase a pallet of luxurious and exciting materials such as rare stone and woods, hand-hammered metals, blown glass, or ceramics. Individual pieces may have multiple artists contributing in their own area of mastery, making each work a one-of-a-kind expression of beauty by nature’s hand and the artist’s. The resulting work is meaningful, functional, relevant and sure to be celebrated by generations to come.
